Best in Show

Claire's painting Belly Dancer is the winner of the Best In Show award at the South Carolina Watermedia Society annual exhibition, held this year at the Florence Museum of Art, Science and History in Florence, South Carolina. The exhibition will be on view at the museum from October 17 through November 29, 2009. After its close in Florence, the show will travel to various locations throughout the state. A top award at the SC State Fair

Claire's monotype with photo etching, Looking for Mr. Right, won first place in the printmaking division at the South Carolina State Fair. The fair runs through October 25, 2009 at the fairgrounds in Columbia.

Feb 26 - 28, 2010

Claire has been selected by the Humanities Council of South Carolina to be the Official Artist of the 2010 Book Festival. Limited edition posters of her painting The Reader will be available at the 14th annual festival which will be held February 26 - 28 at the Metropolitan Convention Center in Columbia. City Art, a Columbia, SC Gallery, located at 1224 Lincoln St. in the Vista Area of Columbia will host an exhibition of recent works by Claire, opening Thursday February 26, 2010. The exhibition will include oil paintings as well as mixed media works and monotypes. The show will be on view at City Art through the end of March.
